Meet Our Founder: Prophetess Memory Matimbire
A Visionary.
Prophetess Memory Matimbire is the visionary behind Daughters of Virtue International Ministries and the President of Hebron Art of Prayer International Ministries. Her life is dedicated to prayer, spiritual empowerment, and seeing God’s Kingdom advance in every sphere of life. Through her passion and leadership, she has sparked a global movement that is transforming communities and igniting revival in nations around the world.
Her journey began over two decades ago when she encountered a powerful, life-changing moment with God. This encounter birthed within her an unshakable passion for prayer, particularly in the mountains, where she dedicated herself to seeking God’s presence.
Alongside her husband, Pastor Fred Matimbire, Prophetess Memory founded Hebron Art of Prayer Church in 2011. With 15 branches in Zimbabwe and South Africa, the ministry continues to thrive, offering a foundation for believers to grow spiritually and walk in their calling. However, Prophetess Memory’s vision extended beyond the local church, leading to the creation of Daughters of Virtue International Ministries (DOV) in 2017, a powerful, non-denominational prayer movement focused on empowering women.
As the prayer movement gained momentum, men were increasingly drawn to its mission, resulting in the formation of Sons of Valour (SOV), a parallel movement that empowers men to walk in spiritual dominion. Together, these ministries form a united front in prayer, spiritual growth, and Kingdom advancement.
Prophetess Memory’s commitment is clear: to raise an altar of prayer in every believer, inspiring them to pursue their full potential in Christ, regardless of race or background. This fuelled the growth of Daughters of Virtue, which now spans 22 countries and continues to touch lives worldwide, with a following of over 800,000 individuals.
Beyond her ministry work, Prophetess Memory is a businesswoman, author, and philanthropist. She believes that every individual has the capacity to excel and accomplish great things, particularly in business. Through her book Unleashing the Billionaire in You, she challenges others to unlock their entrepreneurial potential. She also leads Women of Destiny, a ministry that equips women to thrive in all areas of life.
